The New Year and the Old

Well, We made it around the Sun one more time. Despite the fact that according to the professionals, doom and gloom surround us at every turn. We will see how the new year progresses although I don't hold out much hope for anything different. We as humans put way too much emphasis on how we are doing and the galaxy couldn't care less.

Russia and Ukraine

Well, it seems like there is no solution in sight for this conflict. It has been going on since 2014 with a definite trend to expand in the near future. In the words of Admiral Painter from the hunt for red october "Admiral Josh Painter : This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we'll be lucky to live through it."

Seems like I'm not as bad off as I previously thought. A online cognitive test indicates I am normal at least in one sense.

Memories

What influences memory? Why can I remember lyrics from songs I listened to in 1983 but I cannot remember an event from last year or even three months ago? It seems to be a part of aging. What is normal and what is cause for concern? I shall investigate.
