Once again all it takes is a little while outside the US for me to remember just how fortunate we are. People who live their lives in this country and never see another country have no right to criticize how we live. I am constantly amazed at how much the human spirit will endure under a political or social system which keeps them from being able to rise above their current position on the social ladder.
Don't get me wrong, I know we are far from perfect and anything which we try to do will never be perfect but we have opportunities here that are afforded to very few others around the world. SO, the next time you want to stand up and complain about how high your internet bill is or that it took too long to get your latte from Starbucks, take a broader view of the world and be thankful for everything you do have.
